Film, TV, and Broadcast sets have long been the domain of the classic wooden framed Hollywood Flats. There were, and are, many limitations to that style of design solution, especially in spaces that are traditionally tighter and smaller, as is typical with studios. AV-Drop offers a refreshing update with its scalable, modular, green, and reusable capacitys.
The system’s wide selection of stock frame sizes, angles, curves, and extensions provide any production designer increased flexibility with few restrictions and many more advantages. In addition to the 3D design capability, we also stock green and other chroma key color fabrics and can print graphic backdrops to spec, as well. If height and width are limited, a well-considered graphic solution is often ideal and simple to achieve.

The skin is what makes AV-Drop a reality. The systems rigid but modular framework is wrapped with a skin, a flexible IFR textile fabric that is attached with hook and loop, to create a flat wall solution.
The perimeter of the rear side of every Av-Drop frame is covered in Velcro tm Hook to catch the skin which has Velcro loop stitched on. The high stretch memory allows for the skin to be pulled tight minimizing wrinkles and dimples.
By utilizing AV-Drop’s modular 8’ wide panel sections, a 100’ wide Scenic Wall can be stored, transported and assembled with a minimum of materials for quick installation. Fewer seams provide for larger scale, uninterrupted installations and increased design solutions.
